About the Commission The Covid-19 pandemic has exposed deep and diverse weaknesses in U.S. global health security policy and infrastructure and has triggered massive health, economic, and social crises. The CSIS Commission on Strengthening America’s Health Security will drive discourse and develop concrete, pragmatic action agendas for U.S. health security policy in the Covid-19 era. The Commission brings together a distinguished and diverse group of senior leaders and is advised by a group of preeminent subject experts. Initiated in April 2018, the Commission will continue its efforts through the fall of 2022.
