Ambassador Jimmy Kolker is a non-resident senior associate with the CSIS Global Health Policy Center. He retired in January 2017 as Assistant Secretary for Global Affairs at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), where he served as the Department’s chief health diplomat. His 30-year State Foreign Service career included ambassador posts in Burkina Faso and Uganda.
