On Friday, November 13, the CSIS Commission on Strengthening America’s Health Security hosted a conversation with Dorothy Shea, U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon. J. Stephen Morrison, Senior Vice President and Director of the Global Health Policy Center, and Jon B. Alterman, Senior Vice President, Zbigniew Brzezinski Chair in Global Security and Geostrategy, and Director of the CSIS Middle East Program, engaged with the Ambassador on the evolving humanitarian, health, economic, and political crises in Lebanon. They covered the aftermath of the August 4 Beirut explosion and evolution of U.S. policy since.
